What an H100 NVL is good for
NVIDIA's datacenter flagship behind most large-model training today, with very high memory bandwidth and FP8 support. With 94 GB of memory it is a good fit for:
- Serving 70B-class models (Llama 3 70B, Qwen 72B) with 4-bit or 8-bit weights
- Fine-tuning 7B–14B models with full LoRA and long context, or 70B-class with QLoRA
- Large-batch image generation and video models
- Training runs where speed matters more than price
